
This is the first of multiple articles on why I choose to live and invest in Las Vegas. Note that in this article I will talk about single family homes. In another article I discussed why single family homes are currently the best type of investment property.
In other cities where I owned investment properties I spent a lot of money repainting, repairing siding, replacing roofs and dealing with termites. Also, homes were older and I continually faced building code violations, wiring, plumbing, termites and expensive yard maintenance issues. In this article I will talk about single family home construction and landscaping in Las Vegas and why this is such an advantage to you, the investor.

Another advantage of Las Vegas single family homes is that most them are of recent construction; most of the ones that I deal with were built since 2000. Thus, wiring and house systems are up to date and rehab usually consist of carpet and paint which are relatively low cost.
